I've got some users who always lose their AS/400 Client Access 5250 TCPIP session when they dial their ISP. The 400 connection is TCPIP Ethernet and the Internet is just a standard dialup connection. Here are the specs from the user's PC: Netscape ver. 4.7 Internet Explorer ver. 5.01 Client Access is Version 3 Release 1 Modification Level 3 Service Level SF53868 Installed 5/17/99 My ISP is WT.Net which is a Texas based Regional ISP with connections all over the Houston area, Dallas, Beaumont etc. I connect in around 44k. Any idea how to fix this problem?

Simultaneous TCPIP Client Access and Dialup Internet Connection
Jim, I have not had this problem with my ISP, but there are a few things that can happen. Are they set to dial on demand? You can tell Windows to dial only when requested. Another problem I have run into is when the network I am dialing attempts to intercept Telnet requests. What I was told was that with W95 & W98 the dialup connection gets first crack at requests. On WNT, you can change the priority. David Morris
