I have an application that may require an as/400 acting as a web server and using Net.Data, to access another as/400's tables. Is this posible? Both 400's will be on a TCP/IP network. Thanks .........ms

Can I access a remote data base using Net.Data?
IMO the easiest method of accessing data between AS/400s is to use Distributed Data Management Files (DDMFs). The CRTDDMF command is easy to use, once the AS/400s are connected, and in late releases, DDMFs can be used over TCP/IP. Essentially, a program reacts to a DDMF as if the table existed on the local system, rather than the remote. Dave
