I am trying to set up an intranet web page on our AS400 and have used several tools including the HTTP setup wizard from IBM and continually get the following page. We are on V4R5 with all the latest PTF's (PTF's were ordered on Monday October 9th) It probably is an access issue, but I don't know how to grant authority to the PC type files on the AS400. I can get to the www subdirectory through Operations Navigator, but no lower in the tree. Thanks Doug Strong dstrong@stpetes.org ************************************************** ************************** copy of page follows ************************************************** ************************** You are not authorized to view this page You might not have permission to view this directory or page using the credentials you supplied. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you believe you should be able to view this directory or page, please try to contact the Web site by using any e-mail address or phone number that may be listed on the http:// home page. WRKLNK on the 400 with option 9 will give you a Work with Authorities panel.

*************** If you want to do it from the green screen, try using the Change Authority (CHGAUT) and give the QTMHHTTP user Read authority and exclude the Public user from accessing the files. If you're AS/400 IFS Stream file directory is '/home/stream' off the Root (/) directory, the fastest way to do this is by entering the following four statements. 1. CHGAUT OBJ('HOME/SEMINAR/') USER(QTMHHTTP) DTAAUT(*RX) OBJAUT(*NONE) 2. CHGAUT OBJ('HOME/STREAM/') USER(*PUBLIC) DTAAUT(*EXCLUDE) OBJAUT(*NONE) 3. CHGAUT OBJ('HOME/STREAM/*.*') USER(*PUBLIC) DTAAUT(*EXCLUDE) OBJAUT(*NONE) 4. CHGAUT OBJ('HOME/STREAM/*.*') USER(QTMHHTTP) DTAAUT(*RX) OBJAUT(*NONE) The first two statements give the default http user (QTMHHTTP) authority to use the '/home/stream' directory (1) while excluding *PUBLIC from accessing it (2). The second two statements give the QTMHHTTP user the right to read or execute any file in that directory (3) while, again, excluding *PUBLIC from accessing those files (4). You may even be able to give QTMHHTTP *R access instead of *RX. Thanks for the help. I got in through go data and the file system prompt. The problem seems to be an old HTTP setup I tried to build and I am going to have to delete it. Doug
