Rahdika, the only possible solution is to copy equal parts of the files with the same key to temporary files and use those for comparison, using CMPPFM. Regards, Carel Teijgeler.

while comparing 2 pf's, CMPPFM can be used. But CMPPFM fails when number of records exceeds more than 80000. Is there any other command or api to compare 2 pf's which has more than 80000 records. Any help on this would be appreciated.

Are your files going to be substantially different? If not, have you considered WRKQRY and selecting mismatched records? Alternately, there are tools from vendors such as Aldon that have file compare utilities. But WRKQRY is free, so I'd try that first if you haven't already.
