Is there any way to speed up the JVM load time?

Liam, I'm looking into this as well. Since no else has responded I thought I'd at least share this link with you: http://www.as400.ibm.com/developer/j...q.html#answers It's V4R2 specific but hopefully it will lead you to the right answer based on your 400 specs. We have V4R5 in our shop and we're experimenting with Java apps on the machine. It seems to be running pretty slow on our end - at least during the initial call. Once the JVM is loaded the response is pretty quick. Good Luck! Ray Ruelan

Is there any way to speed up the JVM load time?

Hi, I have a Java stored procedure that I am calling from an RPG IV SQL program. The first call to the procedure takes about thirty seconds, I assume because the JVM is being loaded. Subsequent calls from the same job take about 1 second. My question is: Is there any way to speed up the initial load of the JVM to get a better response on my initial call? Thanks, Liam.
