  • Novell user can't start multiple sessions.

User is running Client Access Express for Windows V4R5M0 through Novell Network under Windows 2000. When trying to start multiple PC5250 sessions (display + printer) he receives error CWBLM0011 with message "Internal License Management Error Occurred" and only one of the sessions gets started. We have not seen this problem with users connecting through Microsoft Network.

How many licences do you own for Client Access? Usually this error means too many people singed on under CA. Robert

We have unlimited licenses and get the same error. However, we do have a Microsoft only network (no Novell). What's worse is this error is intermittent, jumping from PC to PC. Calling IBM about it tells us that it's a Microsoft issue due to restricted user settings. You can signon as Administrator and all sessions come up. Then it seems to be okay when the user signs on (for awhile anyway). However, calling Microsoft tells us it's an IBM issue, they need to write their software correctly. Interestingly, I see an APAR came out for CAE V5R1 noting that IBM has rewritten their License Management code, and tha the issue is fixed with a service pack. APAR link
