I want to have better control over access to the AS/400 and all of the functions that create holes in our system. With that in mind I'm investigating security software packages. I need granular control. For example, user XYZ must be able to run RMTCMD for specific commands (i.e. clrpfm) from a PC connected via client access. I also need to have the ability to allow just specific files to be downloaded/uploaded controlled by user/group and by method. For example, Joe may be able to download a file via MS Access but no be able to upload. However, I don't want Joe to have access to downloads via FTP. What I'd like to know is if anyone can comment on the packages available for the AS/400. Specifically, I'm looking at Softlanding, SafeNet/400 and Pentasafe's products. However, I'm open to any suggestions to other products as well. TIA, chuck Opinions expressed are not necessarily those of my employer.
