  • A real tough one on Licensed Programs

I’m looking after a system where it looks like there has been an unauthorised licensed program install. Specifically part of Client access has been upgraded to a beta 5.1 version. I would like to find out when it happened and who did it. Option 50 on GO LICPGM is a non starter - the messages are long gone. The history logs are long gone. There are no backups to restore it. The security journal appears to be of no use. The licensed program journal is of no use (what has been installed is 2 parts of client access) Unless I’m missing something DSPSFWRSC is of no use. Does anyone have a low level way of finding out when and by whom this was done. Yours hopefully Ken

A real tough one on Licensed Programs

You might start with, "Who has authority to install Licensed Programs?" Do an Option 8 on the Library QCAEXP and the Change date/time should tell you when it happened. I'm still trying to figure out the "who" part. HTH Chris
