So, what OS/400 command is creating the new PF? Is it CRTDUPOBJ or what? CRTDUPOBJ tries to create an EXACT copy of the from object, including authorities. Chris

ODBC Create File Problem

Hi, I have a programmer who is using a Delphi component to create a physical file on the AS/400. The library description the file is created in is set to CRTAUT *SYSVAL and QCRTAUT is set *PUBLIC *CHANGE. However everytime the file is created it is created with *PUBLIC *EXCLUDE. Any ideas?

Hi Chris, I wish I knew! The Delphi component appears to be some sort of compiled module and ther is no way of getting to the underlying code. I've looked at all the security values for incoming file requests but can't find anything.
