Makers of LaserVault software solutions for IBM Power Systems

The maker of LaserVault software solutions, Electronic Storage Corporation (ESC), marks their 30th anniversary in the data storage industry this year. As an IBM Business Partner, ESC has developed their solutions alongside the evolution of the System 36, AS/400, iSeries, System i, Power Systems family of products.

Specializing in backup and recovery, data storage, and document management software, ESC offers flexible solutions customized to meet the needs of small and medium sized businesses, and powerful enough to support enterprise environments.

According to ESC President Brad Jensen, “We have succeeded alongside bigger companies that are more well-known by finding our own niche. Our customers want powerful products that work, are easy to use, and are affordable. That is what ESC and LaserVault products are built on and why we now celebrate 30 years in business alongside industry giants.”

Based in Oklahoma, ESC partners with storage providers ExaGrid, Cohesity, Rubrik, and others, as well as with authorized resellers across the U.S. The company has recently widened its global presence with authorized resellers around the globe, including growing markets in Europe, Japan and Australia. Their backup and recovery solutions are designed to work flawlessly with BRMS, Robot Save, and other backup software.

“Our flexibility is one of our greatest strengths,” says Jensen. “We do what our customers need to meet their data protection challenges.” ESC works closely with each customer to find the solution that is best for them, and the company offers a variety of purchasing options, including IBM Global Financing.”

The company’s most popular products include: UBD Universal Backup Device, ViTL virtual tape solution, LaserVault Backup, Replacador, and LaserVault DMS10. IBM i users can access the IBM Global Solutions Directory for technical information on UBD, ViTL and LaserVault Backup.

The company was originally founded as “Datamate” by husband and wife team, Brad and Jeloria Jensen, in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1989. The name was later changed to Electronic Storage Corporation to fully encompass their emerging products in the data storage arena, with the primary focus on addressing backup and recovery of IBM Power Systems.
