Legacy Mainframe to .NET Framework Movement Gains Momentum

Alchemy Solutions announces partnership with modernization services leader 5280 Solutions. 

Alchemy Solutions, Inc. (www.alchemysolutions.com), provider of legacy modernization solutions to the .NET Framework, has today announced a strategic partnership with 5280 Solutions LLC (www.5280solutions.com), a provider of mainframe-to-.NET migration services and a Microsoft Gold Partner. As a value added distributor in the Alchemy Partner Program, which was also announced today, 5280 Solutions will use and resell Alchemy’s NeoSuite and NetCOBOL products in client engagements.

Alchemy Solutions’ market-leading software preserves and extends customers’ investments in their legacy mainframe systems by using innovative techniques during the migration process to prepare the applications to take full advantage of the .NET environment. 5280 Solutions, an award-winning provider of information technology products and services, provides a legacy modernization process that brings mainframe systems to .NET, using Alchemy’s NetCOBOL compiler and NeoSuite of tools to assist with the transition.

With core competencies in education lending software solutions, enterprise content management (ECM) solutions, and business intelligence, 5280 Solutions used NeoSuite to migrate their own education lending applications to the Microsoft .NET platform. Leveraging that experience, 5280 Solutions is now reselling NeoSuite and NetCOBOL to their customers and contacts in the financial industry who share the need to migrate to .NET.
