IBM and Red Hat have announced that Casio Computer has selected a combination of Red Hat Virtualization software and IBM systems to handle business management challenges and prepare its IT infrastructure for cloud deployments. Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization and IBM BladeCenter are helping to reduce costs, decrease procurement time and prepare for the cloud.
"We intimately understand the industry and have expertise in effectively managing today's distributed environments," says company VP.
As part of its ongoing Smarter Computing effort, IBM has announced a new strategic approach to designing and managing storage infrastructures with greater automation and intelligence, as well as significant performance enhancements to several key storage systems and the Tivoli Storage Productivity Center suite. At the same time, the company announced its first offerings that incorporate software from IBM’s acquisition of Platform Computing earlier this year.
