It's fall, and it always seems that business starts cranking up. It's no exception at MC Press. We have a lot of books that are in the works. Although I won't go into them all right now, I do want you to know about the next book that will be hitting the shelves at the MC Press Bookstore. Ken Milberg, who is a 20-year veteran in the AIX and Linux world, has written a book on AIX performance tuning. He is an IBM gold consultant and travels the world helping companies tune their systems and trouble shooting. His Driving the Power of AIX should be ready to ship in early October with a pre-publication sale in mid September.

Another big September event is our semi-annual "Scratch and Dent" sale, which will start on September 15, and run through the end of the month. These books are really in good shape...just not perfect shape. When books come into our warehouse, they are all checked for any damage...crumpled corners, scratched covers, slight water damage, etc. If they are in really bad shape, they get tossed, but the ones that are usable, get moved to our scratch and dent inventory. And then twice a year, we offer them to our customers at a 40% to 60% discount. I hope you'll take a look at almost 75 titles and see if there is something there that will boost your career!

Drop me a line if you have any questions or thoughts about what is happening at MC Press.
