** This thread discusses the article: RFID: Payback for Manufacturers **
I recently read a good book on this subject. In spite of the name, RFID For Dummies is a great primer on the subject. It also costs much less than other current books about RFID. The book has a lot of pages on the hardware and electronics behind the scenes. Practitioners who want to get behind RFID would also be smart to get a good elementary background in electronics. Learning about antennas (signal propagation), impedance matching (hooking things up correctly), and spectrum analyzers (background noise and signal strength) will save lots of money in the implementation phase.
