As the 2010 COMMON Annual Meeting and Exposition gets underway this week in Orlando, Fla., MC Press Online will be covering the show in a series of entries published in the Industry Watch blog. Author Joel Klebanoff and I will be posting news items each day from the floor of the conference, so check back here on a regular basis to get the highlights of the day's announcements. In the meantime, you may wish to vote in the COMMON Board of Directors election or remind your member representative to cast a vote before Thursday. Below is a link and summary of the voting notice from COMMON:

Voting for COMMON's 2010 Board of Directors is underway. There are five candidates that who will be running for three open positions. Voting will continue until 5:00 p.m. (CT) Wednesday, May 5. Attendees at the Orlando conference can vote on-site. The winners will be announced at the Meeting of the Members (MoM) on Thursday afternoon, May 6, at the annual meeting.
Learn more about each candidate and read their position papers at http://www.common.org/elections.

COMMON members will cast votes electronically, so don't expect a paper ballot. You will need your membership number and password to cast your vote. Sorry--if you have a corporate or user group membership, only your member representative can vote. --Chris Smith
