Client seeking an AS/400 Administrator as follows: - Location: Cleveland, Ohio - Local Candidates ONLY MUST MEET ALL OF THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS: - Experience in IBM AS/400 Administration and operating system including Work Management, security administration, audits of user access, reviews, object ownership authorities, backups and software change management. - Experience in JDEdwards CNC operations, including software package builds and Object Management Workbench. - Experience in OS/400 Work Management tools and concepts and applying them for job processing optimization. - Experience Coordinating and monitoring the AS/400 backups in harmony with network backup schedules and methodology, to ensure the highest degree of data protection and recovery capability. - Experience supporting OS/400 patch management including staying abreast of current PTFs, scheduling application of fixes, and planning of version upgrades in accordance with IBM support windows. - Experience in working within a team environment including the direct support for the end user community. - Experience working with changing deadlines and aggressive priorities, in a fast-pasted high-growth business environment. - Experience overseeing the general operations of the AS/400, monitor performance and recommendations to maintain / improve system performance. - Experience coordinating the implementation of OS/400 modifications on the AS400, enhance optimization and automation of the operational environment. - Experience assessing and supporting JDE upgrades including functional and performance impact on the AS400 environment, working with both internal and external technical teams. - Experience acting as the primary resource for AS400 support issues as directed through Help Desk tickets and other business requirements. - Experience supporting the Robot scheduling for system operational functions. - Experience working as part of a team to cover for JDE CNC support services and cross trains for backup coverage. - Experience supporting system communications within LAN environment and with outside business partners. - Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience in related field.
