I have an urgent need for a Sr. Programmer Analyst in the eastern Bay area. The shop is using BPCS with AS/SET. The ideal candidate should have BPCS and AS/SET, but they are willing to train someone in AS/SET. They would like to get someone who knows one or the other. This is a full time permanent position. A great environment, great benefits, salary $85-$95,000. JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: ·Participate in project planning and resource estimation for development tasks. ·Participate in the development of application requirements and design and validation, working with end users/development team members. ·Personally develop technically demanding parts of required systems. ·Design and develop system tests and perform quality assurance testing. ·Document applications and processes per team and department standards. ·Install completed systems and conduct system cutover following established change control practices. ·Participate in design and administration of the development environment architecture and infrastructure. ·Assist in the training and development of team members. QUALIFICATIONS: ·In-depth technical knowledge of the AS/400 system, BPCS or Infinium application and knowledge of other related business and systems processes. ·Technical requirements – RPG, RPGLE, CL, SQL, AS/SET ·Possesses strong analytic skills to address a broad range of business problems. ·Able to solve problems quickly, effectively and in a manner consistent with the organization’s objectives. ·Working knowledge of computer validation requirements ·Works independently, under only general direction. ·Responsible for completion of projects according to requirements and within project plans. ·Able to work and communicate effectively with others to accomplish tasks – peers, users, outside vendors, etc. I also have had some other requirements in the area lately.
