Thanks, Joe, for an interesting article. It would be interesting to hear what this technique could be used for in a practical way. Not being quite as old as dirt, I remember storing Y/N flags as bits to save space when 10MB was the largest disk we had on the System/3 and storage was at a premium. Aside from comunications technology, I can imagine what I would be testing a bit for these days. Can anyone make a suggestion?
