** This thread discusses the article: Virtual WDSC **
What would be an advantage for virtualizing WDSC? I understand the virtualization concept and think it has a useful purpose. For example, a key but very old application might still require MS-DOS or an old version of Windows. Or someone might feel Linux is a better platform for a particular application. Running everything on one PC in virtual environments as applications would be a great way to simplify the problem, but keep everything separate. I also suspect that it would be a good place to build a test environment since I would think little damage would escape the virtual machine and infect the host computer. But what is the value of running specific applications in this way?
