AS/400 file locked by java

Hi, I have a java application accessing an AS/400 file (the java program accesses to a single record to pick the current number, then increment it and update the file). When I'm on 1.3 version, this process works fine, but once I try to run on 1.4 version, I get a lock problem (i.e when the others application on the AS/400 try to access the record, I get an error telling that the record is held by the java program). Could sombody help me please ? Regards Mamadou
