Project Manager (Financial Systems) Salary 80 – 95K Columbus, Ohio Apply for this Job The position will lead, manage and participate in the planning and implementation of expanded HR systems including self service, e-recruiting, organization development (performance and compensation management, succession planning), new time keeping and labor scheduling to improve support to associates and achieve significant financial benefit to the company. The job involves implementation of software packages from Lawson, Authoria software and (to be determined) timekeeping and labor scheduling systems. The ideal candidate should have proven experience as a technical project manager in the areas of HR, Payroll and Benefits plus significant experience with other financial systems with specific experience with Lawson preferred. This individual must have outstanding communication skills and the ability to interact cross-functional business communities. Be a key player in helping to define, document, implement and enterprise best practice HR systems functions Contribute significantly in strategy creation process and executing the roadmap in the areas of HR, Benefits, Payroll including organization development and labor scheduling. Work with user communities, consultants and business analysts to develop project and system requirements. · Assist in writing functional specifications that will be the blueprint for package implementation efforts. · Work with third-party vendors/consultants and oversee/participate in tool evaluations and selection processes. · Assist in establishing prioritization and scope of multiple HR upgrade initiatives. Comprehensive Project Management Responsibilities with ability to · Prepare Project Plans including project definition, scope, resources and scheduling on medium to large projects · Execute tasks according to implementation project plans · Monitor, track and be accountable for project progress, deliverable, quality assurance and stakeholder relationships · Provide full and accurate project communication with senior IT and business management · Manage and coordinate day to day activities of 4-6 cross-functional project teams · Oversee multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously · Manage scope, budget, issue identification and resolution and have ability to conduct risk assessment and bring to attention to issues which may impact project timelines and deliverables. · Develop testing and change management processes · Establish Production Cutover, training and application rollout procedures Project Facilitation including: · Lead and drive conduct conference room pilots, develop gap analyses with design team members · Lead and drive technical reviews and walkthroughs of system design documentation with project teams · Lead and drive implementation planning, risk management, budget controls. Must have excellent management, communications and interpersonal skills Strong analytical and design skills, project management, and relationship management skills Ability to work in a team environment High level PC skills and expert in MS Office applications (Access, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and Microsoft Project BA BS in MIS or Business Administration (Masters degree a plus) Formal PMP training with PMP certification preferred Requires a senior level individual with proven capacity to move into higher levels of responsibility in the Financial Systems area. Financial Systems experience required with major enterprise financial packages (Lawson – preferred, People Soft, Oracle, etc.) 5- 8 years of proven experience as a technical project manager preferably in a PMO environment Retail Experience preferred, retail financial systems a plus Demonstrated experience leading a cross-functional project thru entire development life cycle Experience working with it
