Growing IT group in Tampa is looking to add an iSeries (AS400) Systems Administrator to the team. This is a full-time position offering competitive salary and very goof benefits. Local (Tampa) area candidates strongly preferred. You will support iSeries and also back-up on networking (mostly LAN) issues. Will be responsible for day to day systems administration (management and maintenance) on 4 iSeries (820/825 (2) /830) boxes, performance tuning, capacity planning, disaster recovery. Will also be working and support applications. Need to know CL programming and any RPG code. Strong knowledge of OS400 ver. v5r.3. Requirements: Degree or related experience along with 5 + years of background in iSeries systems/programming. Current iSeries systems programming required. Able to document processes, procedures, etc. REALLY NEED TO HAVE CL PROGRAMMING AND ANY CANNED PACKAGE - ALDON, RTAPE, MIMIX, ETC.. Networking knowledge: Experience with IPX/SPX, TCP/IP, Ethernet, Source Route Bridging, Locally Assigned Addresses, DHCP, WINS, 2000 Server, NT Server, Telephony/CTI & OSI Model. Experience using the Network General Sniffer to monitor and troubleshoot network problems. Demonstrates the ability to troubleshoot problems relating to network infrastructure. Strong team player, good end user communication skills, ability to work with little to no supervision. Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident of the USA.
