  • Select/Omit in Logical File created over a Unicode Phy File

Our first attempt with Unicode related processing is having our physical files compiled with the Unicode CCSID 13488 specified at the file level of the DDS. We have created logical files over these files that have taken on the system defined CCSID (in our case 37), which is our intent. These 1st logical files have been created and are defined as we expected they would. However, a problem seems to have arisen when we attempt to create a logical file over these same physical files that includes any select or omit statements within the logical's DDS, we get specific compile errors. If we create the same logicals over 'non-unicode' physical files, the compile is successful. Does anybody have any thoughts as to what our problem might be?

I didn't have any problem on V5R2 using the attached code. I did have to add a key definition but that was true for both the 13488 and non-13488 case.
