  • QSYSWRK subsystem

What starts QSYSWRK? My QSYSWRK is up and running okay after IPL, yet my system start up program has no 'STRSBS QSYSWRK' command.

check your routing instructions in your controlling subsystem and in QCMN. They could be autostarting it. If you are at V4R4 is QUSRWRK also being started?

      QSYSWRK subsystem

I checked 2 of our 5 boxes and it is starts immediatlty after QCTL, before our startup procedure. CPF1801 in DSPLOG says it was from QSYSARB4 in both cases.

check the autostart entries in QCTL. One of them before the QSTRUPJD is probably executing something that is starting the subsystem

Gene, The QSYSWRK subsystem is the system subsystem which runs jobs needed by various system functions; it is therefore started by the operating system just as the controlling subsystem is. Best regards, Carsten
