Yes, I've always been a bit unclear as to whether the "P" in LAMP stood for Python, Perl, or PHP. What relationship is there between Python, Perl, PHP and Ruby? I mean, I suppose there is no direct relationship between the languages and development teams. However, what guides a selection process for someone like myself who has no background in any of them? I've worked in a number of interpreted and scripting-type languages before. My favorite, hands down, was REXX.
