I have a monitor CL job - submitted - that is executing a QSH LS of an IFS directory with the output redirected to a database file. The QSH will execute 25-30 times an hour for 8-10 hours each day. Each time the QSH completes it sends a message to the message queue of the user who submitted the monitor job. I am looking for a way to redirect the messages away from the user's MSGQ or to substitute another MSGQ. Or, a different approach to populate my physical file listing of the IFS directory. I have tried the RMVMSG command from the submitted job but it fails because the user MSGQ is allocated elsewhere. Same with RCVMSG command. Any ideas or thoughts would be most appreciated. Thanks.
