    You can use the CPYF command to create a new physical from your LF. From that point you may use OPNQRYF, FMTDTA, or SQL to do just about anything. Dave

    I wanted to avoid creating a physical file every day but I guess I can't acomplish this any other way

            I want to sort a logical file by a field that is not part of the key and in descending order. Is this possible without the field being part of the key?
