Hello all, I am just wondering whether any one can help me out. The problem is that I have a system which is been developed on the 400 using PL/1. Is there any way so that I could get some knowledge on PL/1 for the AS/400. Is it different from that for Mainframe. This system I need to re write in Java on the 400 with some additional enhancement. Thanks in advance, Arun.

If you hurry you can still get a manual for V4R2 or lower at http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/pubs/h...ne/v4r2eng.htm (they are gradually phasing out free online manuals). Book name is QBKAQ000 doc # is SC09-1825-00. You want to be careful because IBM isn't going to support PL/I on the i-series forever - there are few users left and you may at some point find yourself with a choice between staying at an old OS/400 level or giving up the ability to maintain such programs.
