How to use JDK 1.1.7 to update MS SQL on independant NT?

Hi All We are still running on V4R4 and probably won't be upgrading in the near future. Our highest JDK is 1.1.7. Would appreciate if somebody could share a small sample on updating MS SQL on independent NT from AS400 using Java (JDK 1.1.7). Can it be done using RPG IV? (socket? How?)? Thanks and regards Araman
