Buck meant "For 4b 0, I use 5i 0" Or he meant "For 12b 0, I use 5i 0" I think this shows why 5i 0 is preferred. Chris

I did indeed mean that I use 5i 0 where I used to have 1 2b 0 (which is 2b 0, obviously!) Thanks for posting the right information... and the humour. :-) --buck

I read, in a recent Bob Cozzi piece, that we should stay away from using the 'B' type numeric and use 'I' instead. The question is does this hold true for SQL indicator variables also? In the SQL Documentation they, clearly, define an indicator variable as 2b 0. Just wondering. Bill Barnes
