When you use the STRRSESVR command, do you specify any values or just use the defaults? I had trouble with the command until I specified the connection name, as in: STRRSESVR NAME(connection). If you haven't already tried this, it's at least something else to try. Good luck... --Bruce

STRRSESVR command
Is there anyone out there that is using the STRRSESVR command with Remote System Explorer (Websphere Studio)? I have tried running the command on a 5250 session, and when I do I get the error "Connection Defined for different hostname". Any help would be greatly appreciated. -

First, do you have multiple network adapters and/or multiple IP addresses assigned to your iSeries? If so, this may help: http://archive.midrange.com/wdsci-l/.../msg00118.html Or, as an alternative, for debugging iSeries jobs you can use the 'Debug iSeries job' option instead of using 'Debug Interactive Application'.
