  • Advanced job scheduler how long is a job set to ready?

Hello Mikael, I first have to make an assumption that you are referring to the Completion flag within Job Dependencies. After a predecessor job completes the Completion flag is set to *YES for that predecessor/successor relationship. The flag will stay *YES until 1) the predecessor runs again, in which case it sets to *NO when it is submitted. or 2) When the successor job runs which it sets to *NO when it is submitted. Other than these two cases, the flag will stay *YES forever. FYI, the flag can be manually changed to *YES/*NO from the Job Dependencies screen or using the SETDEPJS command. If I have assumed wrong, please let me know. Brian Younger Advanced Job Scheduler developer

Advanced job scheduler how long is a job set to ready?

Hi, I have a question regarding IBMs Adv jobscheduler. Does anyone know how long time a job keeps its ready flag? Does it exist over an IPL or is it removed after an IPL of the system? Regards Mikael
