  • Using a *SAVF for normal backups

It is best to use that method to a user ASP, and then do a save of the save files off to tape. To be honest, I have not used this method for years since IBM has Save While Active. We run a 24 hour shop, and we never bring our machines down for a save, so this is the only way we can get the job done. It works great... Good Luck, Keith LaBorde

Bill, For what purpose would you do this? Save while active is a much better solution, IMO. chuck Opinions expressed are not necessarily those of my employer.
