We made already. From System ASP 785.3 G after upgrade the % of system ASP used DECREASED with 2%. The new version is smaller than V5R2.

V5R3 Upgrade

Be careful with this assessment. Many of the objects shipped in a new release are compressed. The objects decompress with every use, and on or about the third use permanently decompress. You may see a rise in the ASP percentage within a few months releated directly to this. OTOH this is also a reason why performance may be sluggish when installing a new release. After a period of time, this too shall pass. Dave

V5R3 Upgrade

I'm planning an upgrade from V5r2 to V5R3 in August. Does anybody know the approximate size of the base operating system?
