  • Maintaining lib QRECOVERY

Most of the objects in QRECOVERY will be journals and journal receivers. Instead of clearing the library, you may want to re-gen the journals, and delete the old receivers. Dave

David, thanks for the input. In this instance, of the 15K+ objects in our Qrecovery lib, only 11 are jrn/jrnrcv. The rest are all *SQLPKG gen'd from the PSFT/JDE software. Per PSFT/JDE's reccomendation, we delete the sqlpkgs from our production libs weekly. Do you think the OS is placing copies of the deleted packages in the Qrecovery lib? thanks, Dave.

Appears to be somewhat of a "recycle bin". What are others doing to maintain it? Ours has over 15K objects in it and growing fairly rapidly. Safe to clear from time to time? thanks.

It doesn't matter what I think, but since you asked - - - - - I think the JD Edwards software may be using QRECOVERY for its own purposes, better not muck with it until you call JDE support. Dave
