SMTP email

Hi, We have a lot of boxes using SMTP - no problems. 1 box has a piece of software on it that uses port 25 ( the SMTP port)and we can't change it. Is it possible to make SMTP use another port? or can we use a mail server not on the Iseries? ie on our network? TIA Carl
