Actually, they've been developing this since at least last year at this time, and IBM was showing a demo of it at Fall 2000 COMMON in Baltimore. It's been in Alpha since December, the beta was released a few weeks ago, and the product itself is scheduled to reach GA on September 29. But don't get fooled in thinking that it's another 5250 interface. It's intended as a Web-based view of OS/400 resources and information through a browser. It will have a built-in 5250 interface but that interface is supposed to resemble the old Workstation Gateway interface (WSG) which may not be too much to write home about. Yet another 5250 Web Client
This is not the newest news, but IBM has released a beta copy of CA for the Web. This is a CA/400 client that is separate from CA Express. Quite frankly, I don't wanna be the first on the block to try this out. But on paper it sounds promising. For further info, try this site: http://www-1.ibm.com/servers/eserver...htm#compatible Dave
