External disk drives on a s/36(baby 5362

anyone, how can i get the baby s/36 to reconize the 2 external drives.. i daisy chained the drives with address 0 and 1. my system boots up ok but i can reconize the 2nd drive.. currenty the drives are ibm 9332 200. each holds 200 mb of disk.
