  • Error 403

I am just starting to attempt using the HTTP server. I am on V4R1, the Default server and admin server are running (I can access the system via port 2001). But when I try to access the system with just the IP address I get the 403 error access denied by rule. Shouldn't I get the WELCOME sample home page? Where did I go wrong? And when I try to view the QIBM/ICS directory the only subdirectories available are USERDATA,INCLUDEand PROdDATA...ICS isn't listed? Just trying to keep up....

I got a new fine MS NT machine, disk 'enough' memory 'enough' (120Mb) and there was Explorer installed. When replying on this forum that #@!!! Explorer 'cleaned' the links and golden box away from my signature. So I downloaded Netscape and became happy again! BORDER=5 CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=5 bgcolor="#C3A44A">

      Error 403

Matti - I was surprised to see an addition to this thread after so much time had elapsed. Thanks for remembering the thread. Unfortunately, your excellent reason for Navigator won't help much in changing the bundled Explorer mentality found at my main client locations. Personally, what I don't like is jumping back and forth between Explorer at work and Navigator at my home office. But my preference is to support David rather than Goliath, therefore, I haven't yet switched my home office PC over to Explorer. Just an old mainframer caught in the Web!
