Someone just asked me if OS/400 V4R3 supported Port mapping.........I couldn't say? Does anyone know the answer to this question for me? Just trying to keep up....

Thanks Dave, But maybe I didn't make myself clear.......Port mapping is another function from the one you described. In this instance I am referring to the type of auto port mapping that is performed on a UNIX platform. A TCP thread comes in blind (done usually by designating a port 0 in the send), not knowing what port to use and the UNIX platform goes down a table and sends back a port # that should be used from that point on. If the usual port is already in use by another service the port mapper on the unix box will choose another that is available and send that one. Just trying to keep up....
