When I FTP a savf frpm my PC to the AS400 it winds up as a PF-dta instead of a savf. How do I get it into a savf so I can restore the objects. I use type binary on the FTP, is that correct?

You've probably resolved this by now but just in case you haven't you need to create an empty savefile on the AS/400 and the FTP into it. As you've discovered it just treats it as a bog standard physical file as it doesn't know what a SAVF file is. Regards Paul
