Hi all, I was recently reading some install instructions on a particular piece of software. It said you could share the CD-ROM through Netserver and access it from a client. Does anyone know how to share a device this way? I have only shared folders and printers. Thanks

Sharing a CD-ROM with Netserver
Berry - I'm a little late on responding to this but I thought I would, since it led to my discovering something that I think is very useful . . . I saw this post right after returning from COMMON with a demo CD from one of the vendors there. Rather than popping the CD in my PC, I decided to try running the demo from the /400's CD drive. So I put the CD in the /400 drive, found the QOPT folder thru network neighborhood, found the vendor demo, double-clicked and away it went. I couldn't tell the difference between running from the /400 and running from my PC. I guess I shouldn't be so surprised that this worked but I am . . . HTH, Steve
