What is the name of (and values) for the DTAARA that you can use to autostart the Netserver with? I probably has too much turkey this weekend and that's why I can't remember the answer. Thanks

    Netserver Autostart

Jim, I don't know is this is what you are referring to, but here is how to stop and start NetServer from a command line (or program).
All changes to your AS/400 NetServer configuration, with the exception of share and session administration, do not take effect until you stop and start the server. To stop and start AS/400 NetServer at V4R4, use the following commands: ENDTCPSVR *NETSVR STRTCPSVR *NETSVR If you are using V4R2 or V4R3 of OS/400, use the following commands to respectively stop and start AS/400 NetServer: CALL QZLSENDS PARM(X'00000000') CALL QZLSSTRS PARM('0' X'00000000')
That's from the IBM Redbook "NetServer Redbook". Bill

Here is the webpage that contains a mini-guide to the V4R4 NetServer API's: http://www.iseries.ibm.com/netserver/v4r4api.htm and for V4R2: http://www.iseries.ibm.com/netserver/apidoc.htm Bill

Operations Navigator will let you set it to autostart. If you go into the properties of the as400 netserver in Operations navigator. Under next start there should be an option to start with tcpip. check that off and it should start for you automatically. Shawne
