I wonder if someone can help. When we click on the - messages ICON to see qsysopr messages in ops nav. the session hangs, and we think the following message is associated with this problem in qsysopr on the as400 CPA4072 - maximum spool records reached for - QPSRVDMP in QSYS. Anyone had this problem before thanks Nadim

As far as the maximum number of spool records on the QSRVDMP, I'm not surprised. Automatic service dumps can be very lengthy. The default size for a spool file is 100,000 records with extentions. Service dumps may easily exceed this number. You might try this: CHGPRTF QSRVDMP SIZE(*NOMAX) I might have the syntax slightly wrong on this, but it is similar, and it will no longer produce that CPAxxxx error message. Dave
