PSF/400 - two as400's sharing same printer
Does any have any experience configuring an IPDS Lexmark printer using PSF/400 to share with another AS/400. I can make it print, only if I end the writer on the other machine...it works, but it's a pain. I have tried changing the release timer, the activate release timer, and the restart timer...any help is appreciated... RonComment

OK - Found it!!!!!!! You need to change the device descriptions - to use a 'user defined object' Call it what you want in whichever lib(QGPL?) It is of type *PSFCFG. Firstly tho. create the PSF object. CRTPSFCFG - The parameter you are interested in is release timer - change from nomax to sec15. Give this a whirl and let me know what happens - there are other tweaks ' in here........... Email me on my hotmail account as I don't get on here everyday. cheers CarlComment
