  • Change user password via FTP?

Hi - just wondering if anyone is aware of a way to effect a password change to a users profile on V4R5 while logged in via FTP? Thanks.

Mike - If you allow remote commands, you can enter quote rcmd chgusrprf userid password(mypasswd) at an FTP prompt. Worked on my V4R4 test system . . . HTH, Steve

But you wouldn't need *secadm if the ID you were trying to change the password on was your own. Correct?

The Command CHGUSRPRF is what requires the *SECADM authority.
