I was doing some research on the SECTOOLS menu (V4R5) and ran the system security attributes report (PRTSYSSECA). This report shows the security sysvals, the current sysval value, and the recommended sysval value. I was a bit surprised when I looked at the QSECURITY value and saw that IBM recommends a value of 50. Does this surprise anyone else? Curious, Steve
If you're at V4R1 or less, and have any PC with W95 or higher... Open up a dos window on your PC and Enter the command FTP "myAS/400" After you're signed on, enter the FTP command "quote rcmd crtlib hacker" If you are at any OS/400 level, go to a PC with Client Access loaded... Open up a dos window on your PC and enter the command "RMTCMD crtlib hacker" Those are just two of the methods that will allow a LMTCPB user to enter a command on an AS/400. jte
