  • Number of records returned on FTP 'get'

Hi gang! I'm trying to use an exit program to get to the information that is returned to the user when he/she does a 'get' via FTP from the '400. We have a job on our mainframe that 'gets' a file from the '400 nightly and I would like to see the number of records and elapsed time of this operation. The FTP exit point program currently in place reports the operations performed and the IP address but I can find no information in the manuals regarding 'completion statistics'. Any ideas? TIA, Steve "Enter any 11 digit prime number to continue . . . "

We do this all the time. What we do is usually send a token file after the FTP file that has a count of the records. That is one way. Since the FTP statistics is based on bytes you might want to use that as a monitor or you might even try some mathematical operations before and after you get the file.
