  • How to change password expiration notice to 7 or 5 days.

According to the help text for system value: QPWDEXPITV, a password expiration message should be sent to user 7 days before their password will expire. Some of our end users complained that they get as much as 14 days notice before their password expire. Does anyone know how to set the password expiration notice interval? Thanks.

Raymond, I think your problem is on the client side. Depending on what you are using on the workstations, this feature should be adjustable in the configured emulation properties. HTH. Regards.

Look under Client Access Properties - Passwords. You are able to Warn user before AS/400 password expires

Look under Client Access Properties - Passwords. Chris, what version of Client Access are you running? I didn't find passwords there.
