  • Exit program called more than once for one request by Access ODBC

I'm designing an exit program to monitor SQL accesses to AS/400 databases. The exit program is located on QIBM_QZDA_SQSL1 exit point and until V4R3 it worked fine. But now I encounter problems when customer makes ODBC requests with MS Access. It seem that Access makes multiple calls to AS/400 for one single SQL statement. For example if we have an update statement for a database of 300 records, the exit program logs 300 calls. Have you ever faced the same type of problem ? How can I solve it ? Thanks for your help Marc Dozier Independent Consultant

Marc - I'm guessing that the multiple calls present different functions or formats to the exit program. Are you checking the format name and function when your program is called? Thanks, Steve

Yes Steve I chek the format and function but it seems that the problem arise only with microsoft products like Access or Excel query. Thank for helping MARC
